Points of Pride

Willow McClelland, a 4th grade student, led an initiative to create a “Little Library” located outside at Forest. Her idea stemmed from a story that the students read in class. The class worked with a student from Upper Valley Career Center to have the library created. A ribbon cutting was held to honor this event. Students and families are now able to take, return and donate books.

About Us

Forest Elementary is a student-centered learning community within Troy City Schools, serving students in grades 3-5. We provide a unique and focused environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional development of students during these critical transitional years. Our dedicated staff works collaboratively to ensure high-quality instruction, foster a love of learning, and build strong relationships that help students thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Forest is proud to serve as the sister building to Kyle Elementary, which welcomes students in grades K-2. This intentional structure allows our schools to specialize in supporting students at each developmental stage, creating a cohesive K-5 experience rooted in continuity and care. We are committed to the district mission to empower students to “dream big, work hard and succeed” through innovative teaching practices, a positive school culture, and strong partnerships with families and the greater Troy community.
